The NATO Advanced Study Institute (ASI) on Software Agents, Agent Systems and Their Applications is an intensive ten day school providing in depth coverage of software agents and agent systems, and the methodologies and technologies used in their development and implementation. The school is funded under the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program.

The event is intended for post-graduate students and presents an integrated academic experience with a combination of lectures and ‘hands-on’ sessions. Topics covered will include formal methods and toolkits for designing agents (covering the BDI framework and agent ontologies, and agent development using AML and JADE), and the application of agents within sensor networks, disaster management, security, e-health and computing grids.

This NATO ASI will take place jointly with the 4th International Symposium on Intelligent Distributed Computing (IDC'2010).
