The IEEE Morocco Section has launched since 2005 via her local offices a series of workshops for professionals and students to improve their writing and communication skills in technical and scientific english. This initiative follows the IEEE TEP global framework that concerns countries where english is not the native language.

A new series of technical english workshops, called ESRE 'English for Scientific Research and Education, are conducted by the IEEE Morocco Section. In Fez, the new TEPI program targets both students and professionals working in the domain of computer sciences. The event calendar related to this program is given below. May 2010: Basic Language Literacy

Participants should be able to demonstrate some listening & speaking skills as well as limited comprehension of very basic reading and writing materials. An entrance exam has been completed by the participants prior to the workshop as both an exercise and a medium to establish a baseline of competency.  The bulk of this course was to focus primarily on practicing oral expression in the English language. This session, will help students to have a base knowledge of English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to proceed with forthcoming Level II courses.
