By Dahir N 2.75.662 of 11 Chaoual on 1395 (in October 17th, 1975) and according to the Royal directives aiming on one hand at moving closer to the establishments of the higher education of the researchers and the students and, the others leaves, to integrate the university into its appropriate environment and to promote the research for the development and the regional and national well-being, was create the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah university in Fes.

And since its creation, the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah university knew an important expansion both at the level of the structure and of the number of establishment and to that of the workforce of the teachers researchers, administrative and student executives.
